You can import documents in several ways: drag and drop files into the Inbox, use File → Import Document from the menu, or click the "+" button in the toolbar. WillowDMS supports PDF, images, and other common document formats.
All documents are stored locally on your Mac in the Documents folder under "WillowDMS". Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync (coming soon).
Select a document and click the "Tags" field to add or create tags. You can also set up auto-tagging rules in Settings to automatically tag documents based on their name, content, or other criteria.
Yes! WillowDMS supports network scanners. Go to Settings → Scanner to configure your scanner. The app will automatically discover compatible scanners on your local network.
Your documents are automatically included in Time Machine backups if you have it enabled. We recommend keeping Time Machine active to protect your important documents.
Use the search bar at the top of the window. You can search by document name, content, tags, dates, or correspondents. Click the filter icon to refine your search with advanced options.
Yes! Select documents and use File → Export to save them to any location. You can also access your documents directly in the Documents/WillowDMS folder on your Mac.
WillowDMS is available in 25+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and many more. Change the language in Settings → General → Language.
